PDF Crochet Pattern Only, not the Finished Product

Introducing Tess of the Squirrel Folk, an amigurumi pattern inspired by childhood fantasy tales like Redwall, and Lord of the Rings. This pattern isn’t just about creating a crochet piece; it’s about capturing a slice of childhood adventures and the timeless joy of storytelling. She’s been crafted with playability in mind, options for semi-poseable arms, legs, and head, and the ability to stand independently. Depending on your gauge, she’ll stand around 14cm/5.5inches. Outfitted with her cowl and belt pouch, Tess is ready to scale the highest trees, and take on any adventure she finds.

🧶 This pattern includes:

✨ Detailed step-by-step instructions in English using US crochet terms
✨ 30+ colour photos to help you get your squirrel looking just right
✨ A full-colour PDF (B/W printer friendly available upon request with proof of purchase)
✨ Detailed instructions for crafting a semi-poseable figure, as well as instructions for her cowl, belt, and pouch

Whether displayed on a shelf or accompanying a child in play, Tess will spark the imagination and be a lovely addition to any Amigurumi collection.

Materials

âž” Yarn – The pattern is made for DK weight yarn, but being amigurumi, gauge isn’t super important and you can easily switch it out for a different weight. Just make sure all the yarn used is the same weight and it should still work.
◆ Colour A: Main squirrel colour
â—† Colour B: Belt/pouch colour
â—† Colour C: Cowl colour
â—† A little bit of black and a little bit of pink yarn for the eyes and nose.
âž” 2.75mm crochet hook to keep the stitches nice and tight. Depending on your yarn you may need to go up or down sizes to match.
âž” Stuffing
âž” Sewing pins to keep things in place as you stitch them together (not necessary, but can help keep things from sliding around)
âž” Marker to keep track of rounds (I use an extra little piece of yarn)
âž” Yarn needle (or smaller if you prefer to attach pieces with thread), scissors, general etc
