My first official pattern is up! The Little Owlet is super quick to make and was perfect for learning the ropes of pattern publishing. It is slightly different from my original little owlet (mostly due to the fact that I only wrote down half of the pattern when I made it…now I know for next time!) but it’s still pretty cute so I’m happy with it 🙂 An experienced crocheter would be able to whip one of these little owlets up in a couple of hours, and I’d love to see a nest full of them at some point!
I had the help of some fantastic testers who helped point out things in the pattern that I would have never thought about. This whole process has taught me so much about pattern writing, and I can’t thank my testers enough. It was great seeing the owls that they made too, seeing one of my patterns come to life at someone else’s hand for the first time.
This whole process has been so rewarding just in itself, and I can’t wait to get started on the next pattern!
Here’s one of the owls that tester @thecozychipmunk made:
